Girls Hope is proud to announce that all three of our high school graduates will be heading off to college this fall!
Sidney, who attended Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School, will be attending California University of Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. “Girls Hope has helped me to learn how to be more mature and independent. Through Girls Hope, I have formed lifelong relationships with people whom I now consider family.”
Shaneeca also graduated from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart High School and will begin classes at California University of Pennsylvania. Sha will be studying Psychology in the fall and praises Girls Hope for motivating her to advance academically. “The environment at Girls Hope allowed me to attend a private school, get a quality education, and introduced me to so many new girls.”
Camara graduated from Quigley Catholic High School and will be attending Carlow University in the fall, where she will be studying Creative Writing and Drama on a full scholarship. “Without Girls Hope, I would not have had the opportunity to attend college.” In ten years, Camara hopes to be a successful actress!
Girls Hope Director of Residential Programs, Jen Heid stated that “It’s been a real pleasure to watch Camara, Shaneeca and Sidney grow and mature in the Girls Hope program. All have become significant leaders in the homes and the other scholars try hard to emulate them.”
All three scholars were fortunate enough to celebrate their accomplishments at their graduation parties. Girls Hope Staff and Young Leadership Board Members were in attendance, in addition to the scholars’ family and friends.
Congratulations, Sidney, Shaneeca and Camara!
