The Girls Hope family would like to extend an enormous thank you to our long-time partner, Eaton Corporation!
Eaton first became involved with Girls Hope ten years ago, when several employees from their Beaver location worked on the grounds at one of our residential homes through a Day of Caring in September 2006. In December of the same year, their entire Community Involvement Team (CIT) held a Christmas party for the scholars in both of our houses.
“This decision was largely based on the involvement of a very active employee in the community and member of the CIT,” said Eaton employee Julie Klein. “It was a huge success for the CIT members, the girls, and the Girls Hope staff.”
The Christmas party was so memorable that Eaton has made it an annual tradition for the last ten years. Employees not only purchase and donate wonderful holiday gifts for our scholars, but provide a catered meal and spend quality time getting to know them, as well.
Julie says that Eaton loves partnering with Girls Hope.
“It instills a ‘pride’ in our community and the girls are so appreciative,” she said.
In addition to the annual holiday party, Eaton regularly supports our scholars in the form of grants.
“Our yearly grant donations are used to help with their educations, and to hear their success stories is so satisfying to our team,” said Julie.
She says that Eaton wished everyone knew what a rewarding and positive impact you can make in the lives of the girls in our program.
“Just a small involvement makes a huge difference!”
Thank you, Eaton, for making such a positive and lasting impact in the lives of our scholars!
